Hydrogen generator

Aug 14, 2022

Hydrogen generator is mainly composed of electrolysis system, pressure control system, purification system and display system. Hydrogen is produced by electrolyzing water, while oxygen is released to the atmosphere. It has the advantages of large electrolysis area, low cell temperature, good performance, large gas production and high purity.

Hydrogen has the characteristics of small molecular weight, large molecular radius, large thermal conductivity and low viscosity. It is often used as a carrier gas in the detection and analysis of gas chromatograph. The function of carrier gas is to send the gas sample or vaporized sample gas to the chromatographic column at a certain flow rate for separation, then load the separated components into the detector for detection, and then flow into the chromatographic column when the spectral system is vented or collected. The carrier gas only serves as a carrier and does not participate in separation. The common hydrogen production method is electrolytic water method, and the instrument used is this product.

What are the advantages and features of the hydrogen generator?

1. Availability - hydrogen can be obtained by electrolyzing water, and the generator can produce hydrogen on demand.

2. Low temperature separation - because the power of hydrogen is increased, the compounds can be separated at a lower temperature, thus shortening the operation time.

3. Speed up - because the linear flow rate is accelerated, the operating time is shortened, and accordingly, the laboratory production capacity is increased.

4. The life of the column is prolonged - the temperature is lowered, and the loss of the chromatographic column is reduced, thus the life of the chromatographic column is increased. In addition, hydrogen is a reducing gas, which can remove the potential acid centers in the tower, thus further extending the service life of the tower.

Hydrogen used in existing laboratories is used in many applications in most gas chromatography laboratories, such as fuel gas as a widely used detector (FID). Selecting a suitable hydrogen supply for gas chromatography applications will improve the reliability of the system and the results obtained.

The hydrogen generator adopts a high-sensitivity and fuzzy automatic tracking control system, that is, gas is produced when there is gas, and gas is not produced when there is no gas. It realizes automatic constant pressure and constant flow, so that the pressure stability accuracy scale is less than 0.001mpa, and ensures the high-purity output of hydrogen. The pressure is stable, safe and continuous.
